AC Installation – Important points to consider

Few of the points to be considered

  • Understand the climate, building type

Understand the climate, building type(home, office etc), occupancy of the building, heat generating elements in the building(kitchen equipment, others) and then identify the AC type that is required and strategically install the AC for best cooling and save cost of installation. The copper pipes used can be become expensive along with length of pipe used

  • Strength of the building

Strength of the wall or location where the AC will be installed. Given that the wall or location will need to constantly bear the weight of the indoor or outdoor unit it is essential to ensure that the wall or location is strong enough to bear the weight and be capable of handling increased load due to strong wind or rain

  • Unit Placement

Placement of outdoor units – the outdoor units emit lot of heat and noise hence it is important to install the out door units in a well ventilated space that is exposed to outside of the building and is not directly facing corridor, balcony or window of another building or room leading to complaints from the occupants due to the heat and noise

  • Ease of access

All units both indoor and outdoor need to be serviced and hence it is essential to install them in a place which is easily and safely accessible. This will also help in case of any emergencies like short circuit or other issues

  • Cost

The installation team should be able to strategically install the AC in a place so that no loss of cooled air happens or cost of installation material goes up.
